Celebrate Spring and Earth Month with Community Science Projects & Earth Day Events at the Natural History Museum and La Brea Tar Pits

City Nature Challenge (April 24-27) is joined by two new ongoing Community Science projects: AntQuest and SoCal Webs 
 


NHM’s popular Earth Day Festival is April 19, and La Brea Tar Pits Hosts a Climate Dance Party on April 25

LA BREA TAR PITS TO BEGIN ITS CAMPUS TRANSFORMATION IN JULY

The Page Museum at La Brea Tar Pits will close to the public to commence the first major renovation in its 50-year history, while on-site excavation and scientific research continue 

 

Final weeks include a free Summer Nights event on June 12 and a Last Dance disco party for members on June 27 

Last Day to Visit the Page Museum is July 6, 2026
