Mobile Museums are unique educational spaces within customized tractor-trailers. They simulate scientific research environments.
These programs are free to schools thanks to the generosity of the Max H. Gluck Foundation. Currently, the districts eligible for the Mobile Museums are Los Angeles Unified, Long Beach Unified, and Paramount Unified.

Requesting a Mobile Museum for Your School
Schools for the Fall 2019 semester have been selected. Requests for Winter/Spring 2020 are open as of October 9, 2019.
To complete the registration, you will need to upload the following documents in a PDF, DOC, JPG, or PNG format. Please have these documents ready for upload:
- School / Staff Roster
- Campus Map with indicated emergency assembly area
- Bell Schedule
Due to the popularity of this program, it may take 4-6 weeks to process your request. We typically receive more requests than our capacity. If you are not selected, we encourage you to re-apply the following semester. It is not uncommon for a school to apply several times before we can serve them with our program. Currently, the districts eligible for the Mobile Museums are Los Angeles Unified, Long Beach Unified, and Paramount Unified.
Please note that there is a two-year wait period between visits to each school.
Professional Development for Teachers
Teachers of classes participating in Mobile Museum programs are required to attend an in-service training before the Mobile Museum visit. This orientation is intended to provide teachers with tools to prepare students for the program, and to review program logistics. Participating teachers receive supplemental resources, including pre- and post-visit lessons. These 60-minute sessions are usually held at the school on Tuesday afternoons.
